There are many restaurants, retail stores, groups and others holding wine dinners throughout Greater Chicago. When we began our wine dinners in 1984, we put a plan together that we still follow today.A personalized placecard-menu is at each attendee's seat. Many individuals and couples are seated with those they request to be seated with. And new faces are seated with other new faces so they can meet new friends. The executive chef who plans the menu spends a few minutes before each course to explain and educate the attendees about the foods used with each course. The winemaker or his/her representative educate us about each wine in an interesting manner without being stuffy. We also learn about the winery.We make every effort to keep our registration rates as low as possible. Most wine dinners are $50-80 per person. Our wine dinners usually have 25-60 persons. Our registration system does not permit more than 60 registrations for each wine dinner.When Kendall Jackson celebrated their 20th Anniversary nationally, they co-sponsored a few anniversary dinners throughtout the United States. Cooking with the Best Chefs was asked to co-sponsor and coordinate a special Chicago Kendall Jackson 20th Fall Harest Dinner. The six-course dinner was a big success, and followed the same methods in which we produce all our wine dinners. No pretense...no mystery...just fun, good food and good wine...and new friends.
